Founded by Ann Abell, LCSW, RPT-S, WISH Counseling brings over 20 years of expertise in trauma-informed, play-based, and client-centered therapy. Ann provides a compassionate, inclusive, and supportive space for individuals and families to explore challenges, build skills, and discover new strengths.
Counseling
Ann’s therapy style is best described as client-centered, sensory, and play-based. She believes each client already holds the ability to heal, and her role is to honor that process, offering tools and guidance along the way.

Supervision
In addition to her clinical practice, Ann offers professional supervision for social workers and play therapists.
As a Virginia Board-Approved LCSW Supervisor and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S), Ann provides guidance and mentorship for clinicians working toward licensure and play therapy certification.
